ikon GmbH was founded in 1988 by experienced Software Engineers and Computer Experts as a Company for Professional Services. The company is managed by the two founding members Hermann Braig and Andreas Widmann. Our portfolio includes Development and Integration of customer specific Hardware, Software and Turnkey Solutions, Training, Consulting and Development of Concepts for Telecom Solutions as well as the Distribution of Protocol Stacks, Communication Software and Hardware. After starting with a big Project in Car Park Automation with more than 50 man years of Development, ikon specialized in Communication Technologies, starting with the development of an ISDN Protocol Stack. Today our main focus in on ISDN, DECT, ATM, IP-Routing, Frame Relay, Voice over IP (H.323 and SIP), MPLS and V5 where ikon is able to offer all relevant Protocol Stacks. ikon uses the latest Methods and Development Tools for all Projects. The Implemention is done on customer specific Hardware or standard Components like PCI, cPCI, Advanced TCA or VMEbus Systems. It is based mainly on commercial Operating Systems like Linux, Solaris and Windows or Realtime Operating Systems including RTX, ETS, Nucleus+, OS-9, OSE, pSOS+ and VxWorks. Among our lasting and contented Customers are a lot of well known Companies from all over Germany, Europe and the Rest of the World. |
