VoIP-CAPI with Multicontroller Suport

Release 1.6 of the ikon VoIP-CAPI is now available with Multicontroller support. Up to 8 virtual controllers with up to 30 channels each can be configured. As a result up to 240 channels can be handled depending on the performance of the used PC. Using the configuration menu every controller can be routed to another gateway. This allows interesting solution for Redundancy and Least Cost Routing.

This feature is also very important in Cisco environments as the Call Manager does not support routing of T.38 fax connections. Here a controller can be connected directly with the Cisco gateway for fax connections and another controller can be routed to the Call Manager to support the features for voice connections.

ikon also plans the integration of CAPI based ISDN boards which will allow the control of ISDN and VoIP connections by the VoIP-CAPI. VoIP-CAPI Release 1.6 is already used with up to 60 channels in customer projects.
