VoIP-CAPI now supports the functions Hold, Call Transfer and Line Interconnect which are important for many Voice applications. Hold and Call Transfer (ECT) are implemented according to the standards H.450.4 respectively H.450.2. In VoIP systems which do not support these standards Line Interconnect may be used to connect active channels, e.g. for transferring a call to another destination.
Additional extensions like the optional registration as Terminal at the Gatekeeper and the support of G.711 µ-law were integrated also in the current release.
It is planned to support additional Codecs and to build a Linux based version of VoIP-CAPI in the near future.
